ZACH ZEISLER, CPA
Zach graduated in 1983 from the University of California, Davis, Phi Beta Kappa with highest honors. His first exposure to the accounting world was in the music industry, becoming involved in the "corporate rock" trend of the early 1980's while working for a small local CPA firm in Sausalito. During his tenure with this firm he was exposed to royalty accounting, royalty audits, individual and small business income taxes, tour accounting for entertainers and general financial statement audits, reviews and compilations. After the firm dissolved in 1985, he went to work at his father's San Francisco Firm, Zeisler and Sobel, founded in 1948. Here he honed his accounting and tax skills working with several family-owned small businesses. Many of these individuals and businesses have become second and third generation clients. Zach continued to tap into his passion for music and by using industry connections and introductions, he started to build the entertainment niche of the accounting practice. Over the years, the practice grew from Zach, his father and a part-time employee in 1987 to the current configuration of approximately 30 full time workers. Zach has had the good fortune to work with many multi-platinum recording artists, merchandising companies, record labels, managers, booking agents, promoters and other entertainment industry businesses. His clients are spread out over the United States and overseas. Zach, a San Francisco native, now lives in Marin County. He is happily married with 4 children and enjoys playing baseball and occasionally can be found on stage playing music with friends and family.
